DNV CERTIFICATION UNI EN ISO 9001:2015

DNV is among the foremost certification bodies for management systems.

They evaluate the entire business process according to international standards. Certification is subject to annual checks and needs to be fully renewed every three years.

The ISO 9001 standard requires that the company uses a management system that meets the needs of its customers. The following are some of the parameters evaluated.

Analysis, understanding and definition of the quality of the products and services.

Planning, management and monitoring of the processes required to achieve the desired results.

Guarantee of availability of the required resources.

Resolution of any areas of non-compliance and identification of corrective actions.

Periodic re-examination of results and definition of the actions required for continuous improvement of the effectiveness of the quality management system.

In February 2021 the DNV certifiers stated that Tràfilo’s business processes are oriented towards efficiency and the achievement of challenging objectives.

A detailed management review highlighted that all indicators support the company’s strategic choices.

The climate in the company is conducive to continuous improvement.

Renewal of the certifications shows Tràfilo’s continuous commitment to quality.

This commitment, which involves the whole company, shows itself in the anticipation of customers’ needs, continuous research into new materials and equipment, habitually paying heed to customers’ requests and the ability to deliver the most appropriate solutions.

The following are the main standards we adhere to when buying raw materials.

THE REACH REGULATION

REACH stands for Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals.

Its main objective is to monitor chemical substances used in the European Union in order to guarantee that they are registered and approved by the ECHA (European Chemical Analysis Agency).

Registration is compulsory for manufacturers and importers of chemical substances. It is not required for manufacturers of articles. Approval is made against a specific list of substances, which is added to over time.

For example, it is forbidden to sell mixtures and articles produced from plastic material if the concentration of DEHP (DOP) phthalates (Cd metal) is equal to or greater than 0.01 % by weight of the plastic material.

Tràfilo uses only materials that comply with this regulation. We help our customers to choose the most suitable raw materials. We guarantee the quality of our products and ensure they comply with the law.

In this way we reduce the risks associated with the release of toxic substances.

THE ROHS II DIRECTIVE

The Restriction of Hazardous Substances 2 2002/95/EC directive governs the restriction of hazardous substances and waste.

It is having a significant impact on the sale of electrical and electronic products, which cannot be sold in the EU if they are not compling with.

This EU directive places restrictions on the use of the following substances:

Lead

Mercury

Cadmium

Hexavalent chromium (Chromium VI)

Polybrominated biphenyl (PBB)

Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE).

All our products comply with the relevant certifications, most recent standards national and international regulations.

On request, Tràfilo can supply to you the technical and safety datasheets that certify the compliance of our products and semifinished products with current regulations.
